“My archaeologist colleagues often find remains of strange structures that are not easy to understand. For example, here they discovered a round platform made with thick stone walls. Some archaeologists thought it was built for sacrifices, back in the Bronze Age. I would ask though, as a practical person: why go to the trouble of building something that’s used only for special ceremonies? In my opinion, the platform would have had a more regular use – perhaps as a cremation site for the dead?”
